Mountain Bluebirds are a beautiful but solitary lot. You rarely see them together, but they seem perfectly fine roaming alone in the piercing cold weather, perched on snowy branches and fence posts to scout the area for food. They even seem to swell with joy during the big flake snowstorms that hit in April.
This Mountain Bluebird’s poignant stance and knowing stare as the bitter cold whips around it reminds me that there is splendor and life in every corner of the world, no matter how frigid.
